Answers on choosing, storing, and buying ZIC engine oil

Which engine oil should I use in my car?

The first thing to consider is the specification that suits your car.

Check the recommended engine-oil specification in your owner's manual or on your car maker's website, then compare it with the specifications of ZIC products on the product pages of this site.

Does engine oil have an expiry date?

The shelf life of engine oil varies with how it is stored, so there is no standard expiry date.

An unopened product kept in proper conditions (shaded, out of direct sunlight) has a shelf life of up to 5 years from the production date.

Oil left over after first use should be sealed tightly and used within 1 year — if not sealed properly, exposure to air causes oxidation and reduces performance. Since the cap may not block oxygen completely, sealing the bottle in a zip-lock bag is recommended for extra care.

How do I download the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS/SDS)?

Safety data sheets (MSDS/SDS) are not yet available for direct download on this site. To request the sheet for a specific product, call 1263 or email info@oranoss.com with the product name and viscosity grade, and our team will send it to you.
